Jeff Leininger

  • Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

I offer a non-judgmental space, recognizing the significance of meeting you precisely where you are in your journey while assisting you in uncovering the most meaningful aspects of your life. Following a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation that delves into the biological, psychosocial, and spiritual factors impacting your life - we will collaboratively determine the most suitable mental health treatment options to promote your well-being.

I help individuals navigate difficult life transitions and those who are facing challenges with acute or chronic anxiety; eating disorders; depression; ADHD'; mood/bipolar disorders; insomnia; and alcohol or chemical dependency. I also work closely with LGBTQ individuals and am deeply committed to providing support to BIPOC communities.

I collaborate with clients to cultivate a harmonious, mindful, and body-centered awareness. I bring significant expertise to my work with individuals who are reevaluating their connections to alcohol and other substances. The integration of psychiatric medications, particularly when used in conjunction with psychotherapy and mindfulness practices, can be a vital component in attaining increased stability and equilibrium.

Behind the scenes…

Before becoming a nurse practitioner, I was a literature nerd (still am, actually!) earning a BA from Cornell University and a MA from CUNY Hunter College.

I spend a lot of my free time hanging out with my pit bull mix, Leon, and trying to be outside as much as possible. I also practice meditation and enjoy learning with the gracious teachers at Spirit Rock Meditation Center in Marin, California.

If you are ready to optimize your mental well-being, I’m ready to help!

The first step is a free phone consultation.

(Double take? That’s right - you can text or call me directly).
