Louisa Crosby
FOUNDER OF GANNETT HEALTH
ADULT-GERONTOLOGY ACUTE CARE NURSE PRACTITIONER
I’ve had the privilege of serving in diverse practice environments including intensive care, urgent care, hospital medicine, women's health, geriatrics, palliative, and end of life care. I started Gannett Health in 2022 to slow down the pace with a focus on providing more attention to each one of my patients and building long-term, lasting relationships.
I particularly enjoy working with folks experiencing hormone imbalance, diabetes or metabolic syndrome, preparing younger individuals for a healthy future, and providing palliative care in the home setting. My approach is integrative, evidence-based, and collaborative with all medical specialties.
Prior to returning to my hometown Big Horn, Wyoming in 2019 - I lived in Austin, Texas for 13 years where I worked for the City of Austin, SAFE Austin, Austin Geriatric Specialists, and Dell Seton Level I Trauma Center. Locally, I have been provider at Reproductive Health of the Big Horns and the Sheridan VA Medical Center.
My partner and I have two young children, who we are proud to say are 5th generation Wyomingites. We also chase after chickens, dogs, cats, and two miniature donkeys.

Wendy Ongaro
Physician Assistant
My passion for medicine started when I worked in a 25-bed rural hospital in Eastern Washington State as a nurse’s aide for three years during college. I helped care for patients across the life span and a wide range of services including acute care, emergency care, post-operative care, delivery and post-partum, and end of life care.
I have been a Physician Assistant for 24 years, and have worked in urgent care, otolaryngology, and community health - including in homeless clinics, the Veterans Administration, and as the former Executive Director of the Sheridan Health Center. I currently serve as President of the Board of Directors for NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Wyoming.
The goal of my practice is to meet the patient in their experience of wellness. I am creative and tenacious making sure patients receive the care they need, regardless the challenges they face.
My husband and I had stopped for gas in Sheridan while traveling from Pullman, Washington to Duke University where I graduated from the Physician Assistant program in 2001. I immediately fell in love with Sheridan, and vowed to return once completing my program. I am a member of the Silverado’s horse club, and spend as much time possible up in the Bighorn Mountains with my pack horses.

Brandy Maholick
Practice Manager
Registered Nurse
Oncology Certified Nurse
Certified Lymphatic Therapist
I bring a wealth of nursing experience to Gannett Health and have 15 years experience working in hospital and private medical practices. I have also held numerous supervisory roles in various healthcare environments. As an Oncology Certified Nurse, I have specialized skills in infusion administration, phlebotomy, and knowledge in hematology/oncology. In 2024, I became a certified lymphatic therapist - and share this knowledge and therapy with our patients.
I was drawn back to Wyoming in 2022 after many years spent away from my roots here. While born in Rock Springs, my family has ties dating back five generations in Sheridan.
In my free time, I enjoy the company of my husband, parents, and dogs. I also often visit my daughters and grandchildren in Las Vegas. Prior to becoming a nurse, I owned my own consulting business in commercial real estate.

Jeff Leininger
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
I offer a non-judgmental space, recognizing the significance of meeting you precisely where you are in your journey while assisting you in uncovering the most meaningful aspects of your life. Following a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation that delves into the biological, psychosocial, and spiritual factors impacting your life - we will collaboratively determine the most suitable mental health treatment options to promote your well-being.
I help individuals navigate difficult life transitions and those who are facing challenges with acute or chronic anxiety; eating disorders; depression; ADHD'; mood/bipolar disorders; insomnia; and alcohol or chemical dependency. I also work closely with LGBTQ individuals and am deeply committed to providing support to BIPOC communities.
I bring significant expertise to my work with individuals who are reevaluating their connections to alcohol and other substances. The integration of psychiatric medications, particularly when used in conjunction with psychotherapy and mindfulness practices, can be a vital component in attaining increased stability and equilibrium.
Before becoming a nurse practitioner, I was a literature nerd (still am, actually!) earning a BA from Cornell University and a MA from CUNY Hunter College.
I spend my free time hanging outside with with my dog, Leon, and also practice meditation.
